These patches not only protect the skin under the eyes but also the eyelids. This ensures that the UV light shines only on the eyelashes.
The black base can make it a bit harder to see the eyelashes. We recommend placing a strip of white tape over it so that the eyelashes are clearly visible for working.
Black eye patches are recommended for the UV technique because they reflect less (towards the client's and stylist's eyes) and therefore provide better UV absorption. This also increases safety during work.
Because black absorbs light, less UV radiation bounces back upward, and the lower eyelids are better protected.
